Description
A young man of 17 years, Brian Chesley, was pushed to the ground face first and pepper sprayed by Champaign police officers Justus Clinton and Shannon Bridges outside of Douglass Park. He was walking an 8 year old friend home when Officer Andre Davis asked for him to stop for being at the park after dusk. Chesley had just finished playing basketball at the Douglass Center, which was open. Officers Clinton and Bridges followed Chesley after he refused to stop. After being attacked and handcuffed, Chesley was taken to the emergency room and charged with two misdemeanors for resisting and obstructing a peace officer.
