15 year old Kiwane Carrington was fatally shot by a Champaign Police Officer. Carrington, who was with a friend, was attempting to find shelter from the rainy afternoon at the house he ate breakfast in that same morning. Two police officers, Chief RT Finney and Officer Daniel Norbitz, entered the backyard of the home with their guns drawn. Within a few minutes, Officer Norbitz's gun had discharged and Kiwane was killed.
